Legal bases for processing
Depending on the situation, I base data processing on various legal grounds under Article 6 of the GDPR, in particular:

If you contact me via the contact form or by email, the information you provide (e.g. name, email address, message text) will be used exclusively to process your enquiry. Further details can be found in the section ‘Contact form & email contact’.
Cookies & analytics tools
This website uses cookies and similar technologies only to the extent technically necessary to ensure basic functionality. Your usage behaviour is not currently analysed for marketing purposes.

As things stand, only technically necessary cookies are used on this website. These serve to keep the website stable, secure and usable. Processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically fault-free display of the website).
Should I use additional, non-essential analytics or marketing tools in future, I will inform you of this transparently and – where legally required – obtain your consent in advance (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). In this case, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
User control of cookies
You can configure your browser so that you are notified when cookies are set and can choose to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to block the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or generally, and to enable the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. • email address,
  • subject (if applicable),

  • technical metadata (e.g. date/time of transmission, IP address in truncated form, where technically necessary).
Email contact
If you send me an email, the data transmitted (e.g. your email address, name, content of the message) will be stored so that I can respond to your enquiry. I will not pass this data on to third parties without your consent, unless I am legally obliged to do so or the disclosure is necessary to process your enquiry.
Retention period
Enquiries that do not give rise to any further legal obligations (e.g. retention obligations under tax or commercial law) are regularly deleted as soon as your enquiry has been fully processed and no further communication is expected. In individual cases, a longer retention period may be necessary if further legal obligations or legitimate interests arise from the content of the enquiry.
Embedded content & external links
This website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos or players) as well as links to external providers (in particular bookshops, e-book platforms, video platforms or project websites).
Embedded content (e.g. videos)
When embedded content from third-party providers is displayed on a page, the third-party provider may receive your IP address and other technical data (e.g. browser type, device type, referrer URL) that are technically necessary for delivering the content. In addition, these third-party providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
Such content is embedded in the interests of presenting my science fiction projects in an engaging, multimedia format (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). Where, in accordance with the terms of the respective service, embedding may only take place with your consent, this will be obtained beforehand (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).
External links (e.g. bookshops)
The website contains links to external platforms (e.g. bookshops or other project sites) through which you can purchase my books and other content or access further information. When you click on such a link, you will leave the redhead.de website.
I am not responsible for data processing on the websites of third-party providers. Only the data protection provisions of the respective provider apply. Please refer to those sites for details of the applicable data protection regulations.
Joint controllership
Where and to the extent that joint controllership with a third-party provider exists in individual cases, the key elements of the agreement on joint controllership in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR will be made available in an appropriate manner.
Use of AI tools
As part of the creation and further development of content for Redhead Future Fiction, I occasionally use selected AI tools, for example to assist with proofreading texts or developing ideas for images.
Transparent use of AI
AI-supported tools are primarily used to refine phrasing, harmonise the style of texts, provide conceptual support, or generate and revise image designs. I remain fully responsible for the content of all published texts and media.
No use of visitor data for AI training
Personal data of visitors to this website (e.g. IP addresses, the content of contact enquiries) is not transferred to external AI providers for training purposes. Where personal data is processed in the course of communication, this is done exclusively for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
Processing of Texts and Materials
When I edit my own texts, drafts or image material using AI tools, I take care not to use any sensitive personal data belonging to third parties, or to anonymise such data appropriately beforehand. Should the processing of personal data using an AI service be necessary in exceptional cases, this will only take place on an appropriate legal basis and in compliance with the providers’ respective data protection regulations.

As a data subject, you have various rights under the GDPR, which I set out below. To exercise these rights, you may contact us at any time by email at barry@redhead.de.
Right of access, rectification, erasure
  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You have the right to request information on whether and what personal data I process about you.
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data or the completion of incomplete personal data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data, provided that there are no statutory retention obligations or other overriding grounds preventing erasure.
Restriction of processing and data portability
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): Under certain conditions, you may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): You have the right to receive data which you have provided to me in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to have it transferred to another controller, insofar as this is technically feasible.

I will then no longer process the personal data, unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Withdrawal of consent
Where data processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), you may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data if you believe that the processing infringes data protection law. The supervisory authority responsible for you depends on your usual place of residence, your place of work or the location of the alleged infringement.
Up-to-date status of the privacy policy
I reserve the right to amend this privacy policy as necessary to ensure it always complies with the latest legal requirements or to reflect changes to my services in the privacy policy (e.g. when introducing new services or features).
