This page is the central point of information about me as an author, filmmaker, cinematographer and creator of visionary story worlds. It serves as my personal author and biography page, bringing together the key background details of my creative work, my experience in film, my passion for science fiction and my current literary projects. This page does not focus primarily on individual stories, reading samples or project releases, but on the person and creative mind behind the works: Barry Redhead. Here you can learn more about my path as a storyteller, my connection between literature, film, camera work and visual dramaturgy, and the themes that shape my work – the future, artificial intelligence, humanity, power, consciousness, alien worlds and the question of where our civilisation is heading.
As an author, I combine literary science fiction with cinematic thinking, social observation and a clear fascination for bold visions of the future. My central projects include the science-fiction series Paradies 4.0, the short-story series Yesterday, Tomorrow Was Already Different and the AI thriller Codename: Darwin.
I work deliberately as an independent indie author. This decision gives me the creative freedom to develop my stories, series, publications and visual concepts independently and to realise them without external constraints. I am not bound by publishing programmes, agency interests or externally imposed release schedules, but can bring my projects to life at the pace, in the form and with the narrative consistency that best suits them.
For me, independent work does not mean withdrawal, but artistic self-determination. It allows me to connect literature, film, AI, visual worlds and socially critical questions about the future freely and without compromise in terms of story, tone, theme or publication rhythm. As an indie author, I remain flexible, direct and close to my own ideas – from the first vision to the finished publication. All texts, stories, concepts and visual ideas are based on my own creative work. I use artificial intelligence only as a supporting tool – for example for editing, language review, the development of cover ideas, visual motifs and individual design concepts.
