CHARLEY – THE EVIDENCE LIES
When
evidence lies, the truth becomes the deadliest weapon of all.
Charley
has spent long enough living in the shadows. As a former contract killer and
intermediary, she knows the rules of a world in which trust is dangerous and a
single mistake is usually final. But the past cannot simply be abandoned. A new
threat forces her back into a game whose rules have fundamentally changed. Digital
recordings, voices, surveillance data and apparently conclusive evidence create
a perfect picture – perhaps too perfect. Charley realises that someone is not
merely manipulating information but deliberately controlling what people are
meant to accept as the truth. In an age when artificial intelligence can
convincingly alter reality, even the most obvious evidence becomes unreliable.
Martin
Sanders, known by the codename Darwin, is also drawn into this dangerous web of
deception, power and artificially constructed truth. Yet neither Charley nor
Darwin knows who is behind the manipulation – or what purpose the supposedly
irrefutable evidence is intended to serve.
Charley
must confront former enemies, the consequences of her own decisions and a
technology that leaves no trace. The closer she comes to the truth, the clearer
one possibility becomes: perhaps she was never meant to expose the conspiracy.
Perhaps she is part of it.
Martin Sanders is a professional assassin known by the codename Darwin. He follows strict rules and accepts only carefully selected assignments. But when a new mission draws him into the world of GOLIATH, a powerful artificial intelligence, his certainties begin to collapse. What appears to be a precisely planned operation becomes a deadly struggle for truth, control and survival. Allies turn into suspects, reality becomes increasingly difficult to recognise, and Darwin must discover who is manipulating whom.
CODENAME: DARWIN is a fast-paced AI
thriller about power, deception and the dangerous moment when technology no
longer serves humanity, but begins to determine its fate.
